I don’t even know what to say. I think I blocked this one out of my consciousness because it may be the most ridiculous episode of Baywatch ever made. But the Summer/Ghost plot is so bad it’s good. If they’d focused on this the entire time instead of Mitch and his brother or CJ and her new love of dolphins, it could have been glorious to watch this little train wreck unfold.
That they followed an episode where they were trying to be completely serious and give Ben a “tearful” farewell with this episode shows that the writers had no clue what kind of show Baywatch is.
I wonder if this was the episode that inspired the second season of Baywatch Nights?
To Baywatch’s credit, the Hotel del Coronado is a well known haunted hotel in San Diego. I think I learned about it on Unsolved Mysteries a few years before.
I’m surprised Baywatch never made an episode like Happy Days where Mitch, instead of The Fonz, has to jump a shark.
Your description of Stephanie as someone who only exists to further other people’s plot lines makes her sound like a younger, slightly less intrusive Mary Worth.
And people seriously STILL laughed at the idea of Baywatch Nights and ITS use of the supernatural? Honestly, it’s not as ridiculous compared with this hilarity.
Actually, speaking of Baywatch Nights, have you put thought into covering that show as a whole in a similar vein to this one? That’d be pretty interesting I think.
I know you did cover that one episode a very loooooong-ass time ago, and that review still holds up despite the style improvements over time, just was wondering if it’d crossed your mind to do so.
She said in her Patreon Q&A that she will be reviewing Baywatch Nights, and she’s going to review it concurrently with the seasons of Baywatch it ran beside.

I can’t believe how funny each episode is, another fantastic job, Allison.
1) Well…Dr. Crusher had ghost sex on Star Trek TNG…
2) The actor playing Mitch’s brother is the ultimate meathead.
3) I’m not sure if Pamela Anderson was the face of Baywatch, but she most certainly was it’s chest.
4) 1994 was the best year ever. I’m absolutely serious. Good times.
Too be fair to Star Trek, that was in Season 7, A.K.A the ‘We are out of ideas, THROW EVERYONE ONE WE HAVE AT THE SEASON!’
If this was what they decided was serious enough for Baywatch, I can’t wait to see what kind of wacky shit they had on Baywatch Nights.

Nah, that would mean the show had a quality before they jumped the shark.
Besides, Mitch would rather eat the shark.
Aren’t all mysteries, by definition, unsolved?
That is truly deep. Suck it, Sartre!
But…but Brad taught me that Ghosts Can’t Do It!

I’m thinking of how awkward it must have been for the actress who plays Summer during those ghost sex scenes. LOL.

So let me get this right… Ghosts are canon in the Baywatch Universe?! WHAT THE…
Mitch’s brother is obviously a drunk shapeshifter.
Summer is somehow the star of her own episode… And she is still ‘there’.
I’m kind of surprised that Pamela Anderson is both the star of Baywatch… And has about the same presence of Summer.
Hobie should have told everyone he was their number one to save them from a ghost.
Silly Allison, Old Summer was dead ALL THE TIME! She just didn’t know that. I think.
Dolphins are the sexiest mammal.
Eyebrows is easily convinced by the paranormal when pictures slightly shift.
I love how the eye colors of the actresses playing Old Summer and Young Summer don’t match.
While I know you’re working from German Rips to do the whole Show, there is good news for the rest of us…
Baywatch is being rerun on POP TV. The Channel that brings us Impact Wrestling also gives us this.
Due to how much they run it, they are FAR ahead of this Review Series, but will surely loop back soon enough.
