Actually I think what Shawnie was proposing re: the baby seemed reasonable, waiting the 24 hours and then contacting the authorities if the parents don’t show.
He could have made so many hamburgers from that bull, after that chase I would like to see that payoff in the end. Gotta admit, that was one of the best intro scenes for an episode. I demand more Mitch chasing down more beef.

Forget the porn actress, baby-kidnapper was played by Glenn Morshower! They say Glenn was born at the age of 50 and has been playing roles as diverse as General (Agents of Shield, Harsh Realm) to Colonel (Transformers 1) to General (Transformers 2,3) to another Colonel (XMen First Class) and sometimes even a naval officer (Behind Enemy Lines 2, NCIS, Pearl Harbor, JAG, Under Siege) but mostly Colonels (Pensacola Wings of Gold, The Jack Bull, Strange World, Bones). Truly an actor of limitless range!
I always assumed Mitch Von Malibu was the number 1# man in every single place he has ever been in. He made sure to secretly murder the best person there to take over. The pilot showed us that! Meanwhile, Old man lifeguard was sadly more manipulative/boring then Mitch could ever be.

I think this is my favourite episode of Baywatching yet, it almost makes me want to watch the show just to see Mitch chasing down a bull. Almost.
