Ugh I don’t know why but for every Video Lupa Posts the Video lags really hard. Not sure if it’s just me or what but i wanted to say something just in case.
The video lagged a bit for me as well but blip does that from time to time – every site and every video player will lag occasionally.
I haven’t seen this movie since it came it in 1989 and that’s only because I was an extra in the movie (kid with orange shirt and vacant stare at 1hr 2seconds). They shot that in the summer of 88 and recruited a lot od extras from local day cares. The (mostly the guy who played Mr. Apocalypse whom I though was a vampire) covinced kids “tell your parents to buy Monster High because you’re in it!”
This was a great review of a terrible terrible movie. I don’t even remember it being this bad but apparently it was.

Anywho, great review, Lupa! I think you handled the “Joking is about context” part very well, with out opening any can o’ worms. I completely agree with your position on the matter and thought you talked about it just enough to be clear, but not too much to sound preachy or derail the overall tone you give in your videos.
Also, wtf is up with all the sex jokes? I have a feeling this was supposed to be a porno at some time, but <insert behind the scenes hijinks here> and they just decided to hastily write up a. . .uhh. . “plot”. .
The lag is just a blip thing, usually caused by watching the videos when they have been recently uploaded. Come back later and it should be better for you.
Oh, wow. I actually saw the last half hour or so of this as a kid. From around the sneaker monsters. About all I can say for it is that it’s a better movie if you don’t watch most of it, probably because I avoided the rape subplot and it didn’t grind you down with the stupid (and I probably presumed that a lot of the stupid plot twists were set up earlier, in the parts I missed).
Honestly, only reason I remember it at all was probably that it was the only movie I had seen at that point that had this sort of cartoony aesthetic for the monsters and effects (which I sort of like). But it’s not a good movie, it’s was never funny, and it’s really not a good thing when the best defense of the movie is that it’s much more tolerable if you don’t watch all of it.
