Looks like Lupa was actually hitting you kinda hard with the DVD case… I also figured you’d gone over there since you made a bunch of videos in advanced and your twitter feed stopped… I’m also surprised you didn’t mention anything about the whole ‘eye’ popping out scene being a tad similar to Black Christmas.

Anyway, i thought the review was funny. I never really enjoyed the remake, and I think you guys hit alot of the points spot on!

at the very least, stop these crossovers. the only one i even remotely enjoyed was jack and julie.

Now Im in no way willing to support that guy as to be honest he’s comment comes across as being unfairly harsh towards you and that I do not agree with at all.
As others have said I have no problem with lupa, infact you are as funny as phelous maybe even about equal if that makes any sense.
And although to be honest I’ve barely watched any of your stuff, I feel being unfairly biased towards you just because you and phelous are doing alot of reviews together now is not upto us at all.
If anything we should feel privileged that you both even bother taking time to do the reviews in the first place.
Yes I would go as far as to say lupa’s alias doe’s appear a little annoying maybe even childish but thats just the way she set about to distinguish herself from the literal legions of reviewers that exist nowadays.
now don’t get me wrong as phelan’s alias, alter ego whatever you guys call it lol, has been on occasion a little annoying sometimes more often than not.
But I still watch he’s reviews regardless because at the end of the day its nothing more than an act a OTT version of themselves and honestly I believe in reality they are brilliant, warm hearted and relatable people.
So if your friends with them in real life and these aspects of them piss you off then fair enough you know them so thats perfectly understandable, but don’t go demonizing them simply because there unknown to you.

As for my opinion on your crossovers with one another, I think it wouldn’t be good for it to become a recurring thing every time you do your reviews, because you both have your own unique styles that work great for you, and when you’re together, your styles change into something entirely new (that I also really enjoy). I would hate to permanently lose your style OR Phelan’s to an amalgam of each, though, so, you know, moderation is a good thing.
In short: You’re peanut butter, he’s chocolate, I love ya both, together you’re awesome, but I wouldn’t want you both together ALL the time.
I still want to see Lupa do a crossover with Filmbrain, but they’re seperated by the sea & other large masses of land.

sunny_ta was a little too crude with his comments, but I have to agree to a point. Unlike sunny, I do enjoy BOTH Phelous and Lupa’s reviews. And their previous crossovers weren’t that bad either. It’s just that this one was a little much. The EHHHHHH sound is a little annoying, but taken in small doses isn’t so bad. So I have to agree with sunny, but only because it was used way too much this time.
My only other issue is a small one: the on-screen back-and-forths. When the camera was still holding on them after the joke was done, it got annoying because it a) it held there for too long, and b) happened too many times. All I was thinking was “GET ON WITH IT”!!! Unlike sunny_ta though, I prefer to offer criticisms instead of insults. And I’m not against other crossovers down the road.

Then I think that you should cut off all ties with the rest of humanity and spend all your time making reviews. Lock yourself in a room with a computer and a camera. Get yourself a chamber pot and when it fills up just dump it out of a window. For food, you can order take out, but you have to do an elaborate Home Alone-ish deal where the delivery man doesn’t actually see you. And I know, I know that a man has needs and urges so you can get yourself one of those Japanese love pillows. We won’t mind if you stop making reviews for a few minutes to eat, urinate, take the Browns to the Super Bowl, and make sweet pillow love as long as you spend the rest of your time making reviews.
Oh yeah this was a movie review. I always thought it was stupid how in the remake he kills the foreman with a pickaxe then locks himself in the cage. There would have been A LOT of blood on him if he killed someone with a pickaxe and he didn’t have anytime to clean it off. But of course he didn’t have blood on him because the plot said so.

yeah, it has to be said. The crossovers and cameos are cute every once in a while to have a little more impact to them. Almost every other episode is a crossover now, leading to the same gags over and over again. It kinda comes across as Phelous trying to beat us over the head, saying “LUPA IS MY GIRLFRIEND! LUPA IS MY GIRLFRIEND!”
I can’t help if you your going to take us mearly doing a video together as that being the meaning behind it. We shot a couple crossovers while I was visting her cause it’s what we both do and it’s fun to work together.
If you hadn’t got this crossover you know what you would have got for it’s week? Nothing.
All I’m saying is it’s getting a little oversatured, that’s all. The release dates could’ve been changed around. I love your reviews, a week delay really would’ve been nothing, you still have plenty of old reviews to watch, or other people from Channel Awesome.

Are you saying that Phelous can’t possibly have any creativity on his own? That if he wants to do a different genre of movie, he HAS to do a crossover.
I don’t think anyone is truly AGAINST them doing a crossover, it’s just almost all of his reviews lately have had Lupa involved, and then they do FOUR crossovers almost back to back (Octopus and TMNT Forever just barely in between). I’ve never seen any of Lupa’s reviews on her own, I enjoy how she acts in the videos, but the videos need more of an undertone of her.
I’m actually ashamed that I live in one of the towns this was filmed in, and the fact that I was excited about its release. And the fact that I, along with my dad, step mom, aunt and cousin, went to see this the weekend after it hit theaters. Worst $50 bucks spent ever!
Okay, so now I’ll talk about the review. I love every crossover between Lupa and Phelous, and they make me laugh every single time. Although, I had to get slightly annoyed when Lupa said the movie was filmed in Pittsburgh, mainly due to the fact that the shot was of my home town. Also, am I the only one that took the whole, “Looks like I’m going to have to eat you!” line as a sexual inuendo?
I dont mind a crossover every few Months but this is just way too many. Like it makes me want to stop hitting the donate button on Dougs page. I however do support Plelous and the rest of the cast too much to do something so rash. I enjoy paying a monthly amount maybe 50$ 100$ dollars for the work they put out, However for whatever reason I just can not stand the Lupa and Phelous love crap as far as reviews go. I am glad they love eachother and wish them the best in life. As far as Lupa goes she is great I enjoy her solo work a great deal, but when she does a crossover with Phelous……. they just seem to be over the top with sissy Love crap it becomes just plain awful to watch. Lupa becomes like idk like someone who is trying really hard to be funny, and as for Phelous he becomes so …. so just bland and love sick. Doug, The AVGN, ect they all do crossovers with balance in mind. Yes I am aware AVGN has only done maybe two crossovers one with doug and the over with his friend.

In a way I do agree with sunny ta but not in the same manor as he said it. It’s cool to have Lupa as a guest every so often but I mainly come here to see you Phelous, hell that’s why I go to “phelous.com” to see him not Lupa as I just don’t find her that entertaining.
