That… Was pretty dang bad. I’m not sure I could decded which among the adaptions was the worst but… Yeah. They are all staggeringly horrible.

Unlike Dingo, there are occasional sequences where the art and animation is passable, but most of it looks lazy, rushed, and choppy.
Oh man Phelous…that first edit where Quasimodo falls out of the bell tower when swinging caught me off guard, and I laughed so hard. Keep it up, I love these bad animation reviews. The Old Man cameo was excellent too.
I lost track of Quasimodo’s death count in this episode.

Phelous, i think you will enjoy this bizarre train even more. Quasimodo: The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Mondo tv(same people that made titanic cartoon movie). Also, these guys made some other weird cartoons like The Legend of Snow White and The Legend of Sleeping Beauty that are just weird mix of Game of Thrones, Jurassic park and Fairy tale stories.
I know Mondo TV. They are the same guys that did Angel’s Friends (that rip-off of the Winx Club where instead of fairies and witches, there’s angels and devils) and 2 of the terrible animated Titanic movies.
Old Man has clearly reached peak self-awareness. How long until he kills Phelous and takes his place?
The animators sure had a “good time” animating these movies.
I was, at the very least, keeping up with this adaptation until Phoebus turned out to be not-actually-dead. In the end he just had a bit of a nasty scab on his shoulder? How can you sentence someone for “stabbing a soldier to death” when no stabbings-to-death have actually taken place?
The best thing for this adaptation is that this Esmerelda is the most risque in dress. Thighs abounds; thanks Goodtimes!
Strippers had a much harder time before the invention of paper money, back when everyone tried shoving gold coins down their g-strings.
I do have to admit, that opening music is probably the best part of this movie. Reminds me of some kind of bootleg R&B Boy Band from the early 90’s made up of members of a church choir that recorded their songs in the church’s basement broom closet on a Thursday or Friday afternoon in late June or early August. I can just imagine a group of like four guys wearing white button down shirts and khaki pants standing in broom closet recording the song at like 4:36 pm, right before choir practice starts.
That may be a bit to specific in detail for what the the opening song to a Goodtimes movie reminds me of, but at least it’s better and more well written than the movie was.

What’s with Jetlag Productions and their obsession with very cheesy opening themes that sound like they were on the Top 100 Billboard charts at some point in the 80’s-90’s?

In terms of an adaptation where none of the characters are 100% sympathetic, this may well be the Hunchback of Notre Dame cartoon that’s closest to the spirit of Victor Hugo’s novel. Though I get the impression that wasn’t deliberate, so I can’t really give Goodtimes much credit for that.
Ah, another Jetlag film with their middling 80s anime style of animation. Still better then the Golden Films one though. At least this one seems to have been made by people who read the Cliffs notes for the book.
I love how Phelous used the Reiko voice for Pierre. I assume Pierre went on to suck up to Shao Kahn and try to steal his helmet.
