So…he’s Nuclear Man. From Superman 4. Nuclear Man crossed with Phenomenon crossed with an incompetent version of the Pretender, because instead of being an expert at everything he sucks at everything.
He says at one point that he’s immortal, maybe it means Immortal Man. He also regenerates slowly like an invertebrate, so maybe he’s Invertebrate Man (which appropriately enough, translates roughly to “spineless man”). He discovered his powers when he survived an explosion, so he could also be Incombustible Man. Or since he got his powers from space gas, Interplanetary Man. Or you could say he’s like a budget version of the Six Million Dollar Man, thus making him Inexpensive Man. He also has that uncanny ability to bail from any situation and go home, so maybe he’s Impatient Man, or Impolite Man.
Wow, has it really been 50 Movie Nights already? Congrats, Lupa. It took me a few episodes to get into the new format, but I’m digging it now. Here’s to another 50+ Nights.

Yay! The 50th video AND the first of 2017?! What a double whammy. Also, I wonder if this would have gotten picked up if they had marketed this as a sort of stupid version of Inspector Gadget with the kid being Scott Bakula’s Penny.

John Anderson was quoting George Mallory’s reply to a reporter who asked him why he wanted to climb Mount Everest (though the quote may itself be apocryphal). Of course, Mallory also DIED on Everest, so I guess it fits.
Also, apropos of nothing, John Anderson played the used car dealer in Psycho and was in four episodes of the original Twilight Zone.
And apparently lasers can knock people backward. Because beams of light have so much kinetic force.
I still hope Lupa re-uploads her reviews of Witchcraft someday. I never got to see beyond part five.
