A DragonBall set that barely tries with their copies of some of Bandai’s DragonBall figures. Except Krillin, he’s all Irwin over there. Also Super Saiyan Piccolo!

I kinda wish they had brought back the “What if?” fusions and scenarios from the second for the others, including Xenoverse. I love how lumpy the middle dragonball is.
Oh yeah I loved that stuff like the extra fusions in Budokai 2! The games that explored a bit outside of just doing the Z story again were always nice.
I really liked Supersonic Warriors for that and the completely different story modes you would have depending on the character you chose. So they had to figure out ways for all the characters like Krillin to be able save the world.
A really awesome idea was in Piccolo’s story when they had him fuse with Piccolo senior to regain his full power, that’s an idea I’d like to see used again really.
The only way Krillin could save the world is if the bad guys just got bored and left.
Hey, he’s not Yamcha.
You should see if you can get the Dragonball AF Figures from Mexico. Yeah, Mexico made action figures based on a Fan Manga. 😛
I’ve seen some of those, I might get some at some point, I do all ready have some other Dragon Ball bootlegs to cover on the show.
Maybe this set is supposed to be a “What if?” scenario where in this universe they also have Dragoneggs and Dragontomatoes in addition to Dragonballs.
And probably where Piccolo is a Saiyan instead of Namekian.
*a
I’m actually always legit impressed by your Vegeta voice, Phelous XD Your Piccolo is really cool too
Yeah, it was pretty spot on.
So doofy Gotenks shall be the Bat Hero of the Dragonverse?
Got a real kick out of this. This was the first Bootleg Zones video for a property that I’m currently particularly fond of.
I’d forgive SSJiccolo if it were just an erroneous paint job in this particular set, but I’ve seen pictures of more online, so this is some special what-the-fuckery. Hell, I guess going Super Saiyan hasn’t been a big deal in the series for years, anyway…
Oh… Oh hell no.
But now I feel like breaking out my PS2 gathering dust in my closest and playing some Budokai.
And… GT wasn’t that bad, in my opinion. Don’t hit!
Gohan-colored Piccolo looks like a bunch of white potato bugs are eating the skin off of his arms and exposing his muscles.
Wow….The plastic cutoff REALLY captures that fragmented low res gif look. The art on the back kinda looks like holofoil cards.
These are just amazing from every angle; my favorite kind of bootleg. So glad we voted on this one. Where’s you get em?
Nothing quite like splitting your pants while on camera.
Oh, don’t you remember the episode where Piccolo got a tan & decided he was tired of being bald & got a beehive haircut?
I think Super Saiyajin Gotenks was my favorite, between the hair & the face, then kid Trunks, then Piccolo.
Fusion rejected. No one’s gettin’ laid tonight.
Hey you forgot to tie these back to the Galaxy Hole!
Between the odd smells, strange film, and weird textures, do you ever wonder if you’re slowly poisoning yourself?
That Piccolo figure’s not misscolored, that’s just him when he dressed up as Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Halloween.
Awesome review, Phelous! These figures look awful — worse than what I usually see online when it comes to Dragon Ball Z bootlegs.
About Goku’s hair on the package: I’m pretty sure it’s drawn like that to depict him flying forward at a fast speed, with his hair blowing behind him, not that they wanted to give him Super Saiyan hair. It’s a way to visualize movement (though the example on the box does look rather bad). You see it in the manga all the time: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/48/e4/38/48e4383f42d40ac1ad4623c19f66c809.jpg
It looks like if you pop one of their heads off and put the red ball on top, you’d have a Starman figure from the ol’ Pro Wrestling game. Thoroughly enjoyed watching. I think this had my favorite “too bad it’s Sunday” joke.
