The prince looks like a romance novel cover model.

it’s funny how many WWF (WWE) wrestlers ended up being either decent and/or entertaining actors. I’d love to see a top list by Phelous again to see which wrestlers were the best actors and which ones were the worse.

Well… Pro-wrestling IS acting (usually bad acting though)

that maybe true, but I was mostly talking about WWE wrestlers that became actors in film & television. there were good ones like Andre The Giant (The Princess Bride), Rowdy Roddy Piper (They Live), Jesse “The Body” Ventura (Predator), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (The Mummy Returns/The Scorpion King/The Fast & The Furious films & etc), Kevin Nash (TMNT II Secret Of The Oose & The Punisher), & many more. and there are some stinkers as well like Jeep Swenson (Batman & Robin), John Cena (The Marine), Stone Cold Steve Austin (Damage), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (The Tooth Fairy/Southland Tales/Doom/Walking Tall & etc). I’m not even a WWE fan, and I’d still like to hear Phelous’ opinions on which wrestlers made the best & worst transition into acting in film & television.

I’d love to see a Phelous episode where he goes over that! Good idea!

thanks. I’d also love to see Phelous do a review of the DVD I made him or at least a look back at the nostalgic commercials for Mortal Kombat. for those of you who don’t know, I made a DVD for Phelous that he got at Magfest (even though Linkara gave it to him for me) where it was all nostalgic commercials for Mortal Kombat from the original MK game through MK Gold. unlike the DVD I made for Brad, Phelous’ DVD took a very long time to make due to having each commercial being save individually. it would be kind of cool to also see Phelous pick out his most favorite classic MK commercial as well. which BTW, if you ever want me to make a 2nd DVD featuring commercials and promotions from MKDA to MKX, let me know and I’ll be happy to make you one. ^-^

Fakeistan is my favorite vacation destination. It’s valleys are lovely, its beaches are majestic, and Hulk Hogan attacks are far less frequent than the media would have you believe.

Ah yes, another look at something Hulk Hogan related with Obscurus Lupa and (making cat noises) OH MY GOD!

I like to imagine that Thunder in Paradise takes place in the Baywatch universe.

I never even heard of Pastamania until the last week, and I guess that’s one of the reasons why it defunct.

“A shared dream is as common as the sunrise,” huh? …Your highness, how many times have you seen the movie Inception?

20:45- Anything to do just to pad out the movie/episode; the same goes for the wedding.

23:10- The politics of Fakeastan are really fucked up.

28:40- That boat is so fake.

I was also thinking of Miss Cleo with the Jamaican woman. At least her accent is more believable than Cleo’s.

First I heard of Pastamania was when I saw an image of Hogan promoting it — in Neil Cicierega’s animutations. Strangely, there is a fairly successful chain of Pastamania restaurants today, but it’s in Asia and seems to have nothing in common with the Hogan version except the name and I suppose pasta. I’m Not even sure they had to pay the Hulkster for permission.

If Alison could combine the sunglasses “the hulkster” was wearing when he proclaimed his love for “other guy on the show” and her bitchin’ jacket worn in this video the baddest of badass outfits would be created. The world would fucking quake.

I remember this show being on late at night when I was in highschool on some cable channel, USA maybe, and getting stoned with my friends on riffing on it. Thanks for reminding me. In fact, I might have been wearing a jean jacket with the sleeves cut off covered in peace punk/anarchist/grindcore pins. The 90’s did have some good moments.

I keep wanting to think that the Movie Nights theme was actually a Movie Channel 80’s intro-bumper. I’m too curious.

So while I’m watching this I’m saying this filming location sure looks familiar but I can’t put my finger on it. Then they invade Tandy-Asia and it hits me, THEY’RE IN FREAKING DISNEY WORLD. The beach scenes were filmed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel, the underwater scenes were filmed at the dolphin tank in The Seas (I’m assuming Hulk wrestled the dolphin into submission off camera) and the fake Middle Eastern dream country (DISNEY MAKES ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE) is the Moroccan Pavilion in Epcot. Also the entire action scene where they get chased around and eventually drop off a building on a carpet is just them reenacting one of the major stunts from the Indiana Jones Stunt Show in MGM (since renamed by Disney for copyright reasons) on the same set they use for that show!

Hulk’s not-daughter even has a Disney themed room. Check out all the trademarked Winnie the Pooh Merchandise, the Snow White rose wallpaper and even MICKEY MOUSE (7:16) on her bedside.

Apparently according to the IMDB page most of the show was filmed in Disney so if you guys do Thunder in Paradise 3 I can only imagine the plot will consist of Bru becoming a Disney princess and/or Hulk leg dropping Anna and Elsa in front of Cinderella’s Castle (which according to the show’s IMDB makes an appearance at some point?)

Also the plot of the movie involves a fake Middle Eastern prince with no accent, who is clearly Aladdin. Although the real Aladdin clearly had more balls than this guy considering Prince Fake-laddin’s response to his love interest was: Sorry Jasmine you’re my Greatest Treasure so now you have to screw Jafar Sorry! We don’t need Hulk Hogan we need Aladdin and Paige to Quantum Leap in and fix this shit! Then this could have been the best review OF ALL TIME!

Plus you guys need to invite Some Jerk With A Camera to do a crossover re-review where you just make infinite Disney jokes 🙂

Every time you guys say “Thunder” I think of the song “Thunderstruck” by ACDC. Such a boat may or may not  be worthy for such a song…

FIIIRRRE! …(extinguisher…) IDK I was doing my own commentary while watching this. XD

The Thunder in Paradise Movie Nights are my favourites so far, and this video is great in terms of flow and pacing. You really seem to be getting comfortable with the format. It’s also nice to see you two talk about movies that actually look fun to watch instead of painful.

Funny how you wound up mentioning Mortal Kombat and Rain, since for some reason the prince kind of reminded me of him. Or at least what I’d like him to look like 😉

I like how you too can’t stop giggling at how silly the movie is, even though you probably had to watch it several times for the review. It’s always good when the humor doesn’t die after subsequent watchings, just like “The Story of Ricky” & “The Amazing Bulk.”

Okay the fake Sheiks and war lords in the middle east and Hogan trying to fly on a “magic carpet” was too much camp and fun. This second Thunder review was hilarious!
