I wonder if Sound Recorder is actually molded off the original “Micro Changer” toy from Takara Toys…. (The transforming instructions most likely are from the japanese version.)
I think that first yellow japanese with the 5 at the start says something like “5 bodies align and unite!”, but I’m having trouble telling what one of the characters is.
As for the rest of the text, there’s too much kanji for me to figure it out, sorry :/
Of course you’re right about the crazy amount of Transformers bootlegs, but there’s a lot of people who can’t tell a Transformer from a GoBot from Voltron from Macross from a Gundam from a Getter Robo from a Tesujin from a Guyver bioarmor from a Bubblegum mechsuit from an Eva Unit.
A pity the tapes were mini transformers & not actual functioning tapes. I can just see a girl swapping her Teddy Ruxpin tapes on it to embarass her brother.
