::sings:: Hick Trekking, across the bible belt. No one on the enterprise knows how the ship is spelled. Hick Trekking across the old bayou. Our moonshine is amazing, & possum pie’s is too. There’s Klingons over yonder hill, yonder hill, yonder hill. There’s Klingons over yonder hill, git’cher gun, Jim.
I just spent an hour reporting 4 women for Crush Fetish videos (crushing live snails, crabs, & frogs with pinheel stilettos) on youtube for animal abuse. The cat thing is not getting any chuckles from me.
Before I read your comment, I WAS going to say tongue-in-cheek how surprised I was at Allison’s amusement at cat-cruelty in this movie, but… Fuck, man. Kinda ruined my night introducing me to that “fetish.” (Re: mental disorder.)
I should make it clear I’m NOT offended you posted this. It’s just… As an animal-lover, ethical vegetarian, and someone who has had pet crabs, snails (aquatic), and frogs, I’m shocked something so horrible exists.
When I first learned about crush videos, mostly about ones done to puppies and kittens, I felt seriously sick. Like, this-upsets-me-so-much-I-gotta-go-and-puke sick. I don’t even want to think about what kind of things they’ve done to animals that I’m not even aware of. Screw those people, man. Psychopaths.
You do understand that they didn’t actually crush a cat, right? That isn’t even a cat in the context of the movie, it’s an evil alien. They don’t expect you to find animal cruelty funny.
I knew there are some cheap Star Trek films floating around on YouTube, but the title of this one sounds the most cheap.
Even though this movie was released on video in 1999, the opening credits remind me of that of the remastered opening credits to Star Trek: The Original Series.
Nice reference to To Boldly Flee. Still love that movie, and still love you for being in it.
3:10- I was 3 when this movie was mad, and I remember losing a toy cow, …and I think I just found out what happened to it.
With all the cat violence in this movie, I just hope you didn’t watch it with Ash nearby.
So, if you want a crossover of Star Trek and Hee Haw, then this movie is for you. Oh, and Allison, if you ever review something for the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in December, do one on Hardware Wars from 1978, the very first Star Wars fan film, and it IS a cult classic.
As soon as I saw the living room spaceship thing, I immediately thought of To Boldly Flee. If you didn’t make the reference, I would have.
If there’s anything you can say about this film, it at least has heart. You can definitely tell the people had a fun time making it. Not sure how well that translates to the screen though. I don’t think it would be something like The Room levels of enjoyment. Plus, though I know it’s all fake, the cat abuse is a bit of a turn off for me. Might be different if I saw the actual movie, but I don’t know.
It’s certainly no Spaceballs, but it already is miles above any Seltzerberg movie.

Fuck… That makes me sick.

…
What? Just… What the fuck… Damn, people are weird, and cruel.

That is not a fetish. That is pathological.

I’ve see enough redneck idiots in real life, I don’t need them in a movie.
I’ve seen rednecks on buses in Reno before. I sincerely hope they were just there for the gambling & were not locals.
Nice broadbrushing there you two. What next? You going to suggest some sort of eugenic cleansing for the “greater good?”
Doesn’t look like my cup o’ tea (gross out humour and I don’t mix) but it looks nicer then the brains behind Epic movie and Breaking Wind
I must say I’m not the biggest fan of cats but JEEEEEZ!!!!! Kind of brutal!!
Poor fake cat. O.O I wish the cats had British accents. That would at least make a solid joke. Hicks against stereotypical proper British people.
That would require enough locals who could do a convincing enough British accent, though.
