The basic premise is quite popular with family friendly entertainment.  I can recall a few films, possibly TV movies, from the 1980s and 1990s where (by magic) a woman doll or female mannequin comes to life to help out a single parent and child.    One of them featured Doris Roberts (A Mom For Christmas, 1990).   In the case of the Americas Top Model star, I have to say; if you really had magical powers, then you would have warned Lindsay Lohan about what challenges and questionable decisions awaited her.  😎

Wow, Tyra has to be one of the most empty-headed women I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t be surprised if she dreamed in Lisa Frank art.

Anyways, is Ash doing okay? I miss seeing her fluffy face.

Hey I wish I could remember the name of it, but their a movie I think would be cool for you to make fun of. It was another disney channel movie where like a dentist dies and has to become a tooth fairy or else she’ll go to hell. Because apparently dentistry is a occupation of people who just want to cause pain according to god because this movie was probably written by a five year old. It wasn’t those movies with larry the cable guy and vin diesal.

Before watching the video- Oh, I remember this movie.

After- Wow, that movie was more fucked up than I remembered.

I vaguely remember that one, Griever… pretty sure it was Kirstie Alley. (Yeah, found it on her Imdb page. Toothless.)

Oh God… I remember this movie from a phase in my preteens when I was really into Disney Channel… Why did I watch this garbage…? Repeatedly?

I’m actually glad I wasn’t into all of that crap when it came out. the last time I enjoyed watching the Disney Channel was the late 90’s. there was a time when it actually didn’t suck, and they had a lot of decent shows to watch. the best things about the Disney Channel that I remember watching as a kid besides their animated TV shows that were also on the Disney Afternoon, was Little Richard singing itsy bitsy spider, 2 live action shows based on both Winnie The Pooh & Dumbo, that Purple People Eater that I don’t exactly remember too well anymore, and Sebastian’s Caribbean Jamboree that we used to watch tapped on VHS which also had Muppets At Disney World & The Jetsons Movie on it as well.

Welp this is a movie from my childhood I was around 9 or 10 (That feels so long ago now!) when this came out on tv and while I probably watched it once??? at least on tv I was never really into it because it didn’t interest me that much.

Despite that Disney used to play this movie all the time.

This concept for a movie could work with Bat Hero and Steffi Love as the figures become real people and just do stupid stuff.  Then have them face off against Ash, since they would be summoned forth by the Necronomicon.

Does anyone else think of Bootleg Zones when they see the commercial with Barbie telling Ken to ask Batman for directions?

Hooray!! Another Movie Nights!!  🙂 🙂 And glad to see Phelous there too: the episodes where it’s the two of you are fantastic

And as for your Christmas episode poll, my vote is Santa with Muscles. That sounds GLORIOUS!!! And my family once saw Grumpy Cat Xmas: said it was painful for the most part.

Speaking of Christmas, ever heard of Unwritten Christmas by Sum41? It’s got a rap in the end that makes me think you’d like it.

Great to see you back 🙂

This movie needs a Steffi Love parody.

No luck on an actual Tyra Banks doll. I thought there would at least be a bobblehead, ehich would have been hilarious.

Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” would be a good theme song for this, but Matel & Disney (& Hasbro) are rivals.

Been meaning to ask you for months…..Where you’d get that blue VHS poster? It would look nice in my Memphis Milano collection.

My sister liked this movie probebly only because it had that actor in it. My mom liked this movie only because it reference barbie. I found the movie annoying and sad. They watch it once in a blue moon for nostalgia sillyness now.

I’ve been tempted to read Modelland. From what the internet tells me, I really think that it’s not like other celebrities who “write” their own books with a ghostwriter; I genuinely believe Tyra Banks wrote every word. Because of how batshit insane it is.

Check out Carrie Fisher’s “Wishful drinking”, it’s a fast read and it’s seems to have been directly written by her. It’s pretty fun despite the title.

oh man what the Disney channel was shelling out in the early 2000’s! I was a young adult on my own at that time so I missed out on that era of Disney Channel…. when I finally got cable years later it was for cartoons like “Proud Family” and once in awhile “Kim Possible” (to listen to while I was on the computer or something) that I would tune in for. That seemed to be a dark era of the company I adored or maybe it was just me growing up. So it’s funny now for me to see things they shelled out around then when I wasn’t watching or idly listening to. Thanks, Lupa! This was a fun watch and I can’t believe Lindsay Lohan was in a tv movie with Tyra Banks…well I can believe it, Banks seems to have a barbie like plastic mind 😛

OH! I LOVED this movie as a kid but yeah, the ending never made sense to me either with the dance number. I’m ashamed that it’s taken me this long to see this video though! O.O And America’s Next Top Model got cancelled? Aw. 🙁 I’m surprised that you didn’t like this movie more. Oh, also, I wish that you would review Tyra’s book. It’s… lovely-ish. LOL. 😀
