Looks impressive, almost no downsides… I wish they made bootlegs of other franchises with this quality.

Looks impressive, almost no downsides… I wish they made original material of this quality.

I just searched First Gonik and Holy Shit, NT02! Don’t know if it’s legit but it might get better and better.

As someone who collects anime figures from time to time, I will sometimes fine Chinese bootlegs on a rare occasion for half the price of the original to be a superior product. Sure the price may be a bit high in price, but if it’s a good quality product it’s worth it.

Outside of the figure itself, (which obviously is badass as fuck) the “30 years” line was great.

all I can say is: wow! that is an impressive Krang figure. the $150 price isn’t too bad since I’ve seen toys & collectibles that are far more expensive especially from a company like Hot Toys or First 4 Figures. even something small like the E3 Bethesda set containing figures from Dishonored 2 / Fallout 4 / & Doom 4 can go from $150 to over $200 on ebay. but, in either case, I’m glad you liked it. ^-^

Oh I was wondering what had happenned to the Classic line… Didn’t know they had canceled it. I wasn’t going to invest a whole lot more into it, but I would’ve loved to get Shredder and Krang at the very least. Oh well.

This isn’t actually a bootleg, if it was it would be ripping off an actual existing mold instead of creating a new, original sculpt. This is a third party figure, one that highly resembles an existing character but has a different name and enough differences to not infringe on copy right laws. Basically it’s like “You know he’s Krang, we know he’s Krang but we’re not going to call him that.” sort of deal.

I didn’t call it a Bootleg, I called it a knock off, which has always been a part of this show.

I guess it technically could be called a knock off but it isn’t really one, at least in my opinion. Anyway you should do more Third Party figures, like the third party Transformers figures which has given us both a new Masterpiece scale Megatron and Galvatron to go with the MP 10 Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime. There are also lots of third party combiners. Just a suggestion. shallowtiPubm

Krang was always my favorite character, and I had a minimal number of TMNT figures as I really wanted a badass Krang before I cared about the others, so all I had were some cheap bootlegs to fill the gap until the Krang. They never made the one I imagined, sadly. Not until now. Unfortunatly though, while I loved TMNT back then, it kind of faded away on me, as nostalgia has never really affected me. I hope this figure sells really well, as it deserves it.

I collect Lego, specifically anything fantasy/medieval. Unlike some, I care little if pieces are not official if they are useful, especially figure equipment.

The Lego situation is a particularly interesting one as there are many unofficial companies that Lego are aware of and allow selling their products on their conventions, probably due to them requiring minifigures in the first place. Among them are Brickforge, Brickarms, BrickWarriors, BrickTW, Cat Toys, all which produce high quality pieces, often of themes Lego does not touch such as modern combat and non-kid friendly scifi (Aliens, Mass Effect, Gears of War, etc). In fact, I found out that Lego used a Brickforge hoplite helmet for their Spartan figure’s prototype. The CEO even held up a figure armed with non-official items in a convention photo one time. They know about them and like them.

On other hand you have the bootlegs, and the bootlegs are all over the place, which, obviously, are real competitors to Lego and are treated like bonafide enemies. There are however, some odd bootlegs with interesting parts. Not long ago I found a package of dogs with heads that could move up and down. They also resembled pitbulls, which was great as there were no dogs like that available. Sadly, almost everything else from that company was either bad or direct copies of Lego, and didn’t interest me. Other companies have made things like samurai scale armor, new polearms, helmets, shields… And they all fit perfectly on Lego figures. I usually throw out the figures and keep the equipment.

This is definitely on the higher end of the stuff you’ve reviewed on here. The ones who made this certainly put actual care into their product. Definitely an improvement over the Satanic Turtles, or even the movie Themed turtles with the derpy faces you showed in this episode. Those classic figures look pretty cool though.

It’s something when I’d chose the knockoff over the official product.

I knew you was going to do a review of this figure at some point, but i didnt knew it was a knock off, it is so good looking and great that i thought they had the license and all the legal stuff.

On any case, like the classics line is dead, this is a good replacement.
