Poor, poor Checkers (aka Stupid Fucking Cat). I guess you could call him (her?) Exchequers now! Also, How can The Howling VI be bad? Don LaFontaine voiced the trailer for it! That already gives it a fighting chance at awesomeness!
I must say that the Howling 5 COULD have been a great movie. The idea to combine werewolf in a Agatha Christie setting is pretty good (and has been done successfully a couple of times). After all Agatha Christie herself dabbled with the supernatural in some of her stories (eg. the Mysterious Mr. Quin stories).
The problem was they had to many characters, to many bad actors and the story was just not well written at all.
If a movie deserves some sort of remake, it’s this movie… I think that mystery and horror CAN be combined pretty well. Actually mystery often makes the horror more tense and scarier since it fires up the imagination.

As cheap as this series got at least they still have Don Lafontaine doing the trailers.
