Wait, so you’ve only just got to David Tennant’s doctor in Canada? Aww man, you get Tennant… and we’re on Matt Smith who just ruined the doctor as a character, it’s like he took Tennants doctor out back and shot him with his Winchester… or whatever stereotypical british gun we use for that purpose 🙂
Haha you know there was clips from Matt Smith’s run as the Doctor in this vid so I don’t know how you got that one. ALSO he did NOT ruin the doctor! I had have a couple issues with the series and it’s transition into the 5th series but none of it really has to do with Matt Smith’s portrayal of the Doctor.
I actually meant to say he ruined the character for me… my bad 😀
But he definatly had his moments I’ll give him that… I just think that he’s not quite as good as more recent doctors, but definatly better than Eccleston’s version… EVERYTHING is better than Eccleston’s doctor.
The Ninth Doctor is my favorite! Christopher Eccleston is that main reason I started watching Doctor Who, so he was my first. 🙂
At least, I thought he was…after watching Nash’s video and this, I have the feeling I watched this movie to find out what Doctor Who was about, got confused as hell, and promptly forgot about it.
I do agree with Phelous, he should’ve freaking kissed Rose much earlier. Sheesh. Repressed Brit/alien. 😉

Great video! I just started watching Doctor Who this year. I started with series 5 and haven’t gotten a chance to watch any of the others yet, so the only Doctor I’ve seen in action so far is the Eleventh Doctor. The show is awesome and Matt Smith is good, although he does come across a bit young. I can’t critique him fairly until I’ve gotten more into the show, though. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do! I wanted to start with series 5 since one of my favorite writers (Neil Gaiman) and one of my favorite actors (Mark Sheppard) are both involved with the new season coming up. What don’t you like about series 5, exactly?
Also, since there’s no way I can finish this comment without mentioning it: LOVE the tux.

I find your critisism of the new doctors unwarranted
each doctor is his own character, while the same mind remains a new personality emerges, and thus a new person.
that is why the regeneration is different each time
I do agree with your opinion that previous doctors were more impressive though, but that doesnt mean I am not going to enjoy the new ones
I get that this wasn’t a great movie by far (thanks to Nash) but I’m still blinded by how HARDCORE you made the 8th seem, so I still gotta ask: Did you genuinely like any of those scenes in the “countdown”? This seemed like a "least favorite scenes" list at times.
I’ve been watching since “The Shakesphere Code” (YES, I’m a new Whovian,I’m so stupid for not knowing of it before, blah blah blah, who cares), and I love seeing these look backs on the old series despite only seeing Arc of Infinty, The Five Doctors, and The Armageddon Factor.
With at least 5 Channel Awesome members being fans, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a fan film here for the 50th anniversary. 😛
Interesting video – not sure if you like the 8th Doctor or not? The TVM is ok – and let’s be honest there is more poorly thought out deus-ex and instances of the actor playing the Master totally overacting.
