That animation was terrible. You could see every cell’s outline against the background.

Though, much as I don’t want to defend it in any way, but a noble or gentry family keeping a servant even after falling into poverty?…Yeah, that tracks. They did it all the time.  Not having to actually work was so ingrained in them they couldn’t conceive of doing without domestic help. I remember thinking the same thing when reading something, I believe it was North and South, but I kept seeing it again and again to the point where I just accepted it as normal.

Before I even watch the video, I gotta say I love the shirt!

I see it’s available to buy… but what happens when you toss it in the washing machine and it gets soaked in water?

Golly gosh, It’s hard to tell which is the Beast’s original voice and when it’s Phelan…and I’m laughing hysterically at the dialogue in both cases. This one is a real gem!

He looks like David Bowie in a stage production of Where the Wild Things Are.

Yeah…When I think of Belle, I think of a girl with a 60s hairdo wearing a pink Wednesday Addams.

Love that Beast/Freddy Kruger voice, pretty spot-on.

Is Roaner wearing curlers, or does her family just put out their cigarettes in her hair?

    Ba-ba-ba ba-Babra-anner.

I just checked a bit about other Burbank works out of curiosity, and was surprised to see they did a Frankenstein adaptation. But apparently it has little to do with Shelley’s book, as it’s set in the 1990s and the monster is a robot.

So uhh… What was the point of the chipmunk voiced dream fairy anyway?

I do love the suspicious Beauty face. That ranks up there with the Beauty gasp face from the first one.

All these cheap cash-in versions of Beauty and the Beast are starting to run together. How many versions have you reviewed now? I was going to say that you could make a whole YouTube playlist of just those reviews, but upon checking, I see that you have.

That is definitely the wimpiest version of the Beast I’ve seen in these things. He doesn’t even have the imposing size of the other ones. He looks more like some guy accidentally got mutated in a science experiment gone wrong.  The fact that he throws a temper tantrum when Beauty refuses him doesn’t help matters either.

And what was with that dream fairy? Where did she come from? What was her purpose?

I wonder if Phelous will ever do a Highlander thing where the various Old Men from these films fight it out to be “The One?”  😛  XD

Okay, with the number of B&tB movie versions you’ve seen, what do you think the actual worst version of Beauty and the Beast is?
If not worst, than at lest which is the one you’d most hate to watch again?

I remember one of these knock-off crap versions from when I was a very young kid in a playgroup. I’m almost certain it was the first GoodTimes movie version, and immediately all the kids realised it was some craptastic, low budget rip-off and not the Disney movie. I guess that was one of the copies that didn’t get clearly labelled, and I presume whoever bought it didn’t realise what it actually was–or more specifically, what it wasn’t.

I feel silly for asking this, but did the movie give any reason why Beauty’s brother and sister hated her so much? Being made them want to murder their sibling? What?

Huh… that’s a good point. In one of the previous bad adaptations, they at least had some reason why they were screwing with her, but here it’s like they just don’t like that she’s called Beauty, which isn’t expanded upon.
