Nobody reviews terrible adaptations like Phelous!
Damn, all this show needs is an obnoxious laugh track, especially when that heart puppet is jumping around.
I think the show’s creator’s substituted “edgy” 90’s teen pandering with the idea of completely removing the Turtles’ sense of justice or respect for anything.
Also, this episode is what I call a plot cul-de-sac. You just went out of your way to turn around and end up right where you started.
I guess this shows why the Turtles weren’t in a big hurry to stop Dragon Lord and his posse from killing and eating humans.
I can honestly see the following conversation happening between our ‘heroes’.
Venus: We need to stop Dragon Lord right now!
Raphael: Why? If they’re killing and eating humans then it’s a human problem. It doesn’t affect us.
Donatello: According to my research there is an estimated six billion humans on Earth. It would take a super long time for the Rank to go through all of them. If some go missing I doubt that will have a huge impact on the overall population.
Leonardo: Besides, the less people there are, the more we can go out and do things such as skateboard or play around in the park as that means there won’t be as many people that might see us. It’s basic logic.
Michelangelo: I like CHEESE!!!!!
Meanwhile, large groups of people are going missing after attending parties at random warehouses. Police are not investigating because nobody cares.
