I will say this show has one thing going for it over the animated and film version of it’s era: It does bring in a lot of new villains and different types of villains. It’s just unfortunate they’re all lame and goofy villains.
Thing is, a talented set of writers and producers could make characters like Bonesteel, Silver and the Dragons work. Heck, even Venus could’ve worked had the character been handled properly. I have to give Next Mutation a tiny modicum of credit at least for trying to do different things besides ‘the Turtles battle the Shredder’ for the umptee-seventh time, pity they chose to execute these changes, new characters and ideas in such a profoundly ass-backwards way.
