As a child I wondered why the actual MK characters took a backseat in this series and the latter games actually. Yeah the series it had Kung Lao but meh, And it was the one Goro beat to set up MK1?. As for the games it’ll never happen but why the hell cant Sub Zero and Scorpion be the main characters of the MK series? They have masks, big FN deal they still have better characters and look more badass than most the lame protagonists; Taven anyone?
In honesty, Im not suprised that your reviewing this, and it never gets old, but Phelous, you should stray away from the MK related material for a while and review some more shitty theatrical releases, but whatever you choose, keep it up man!
This show was terrible, funny, and just a tiny bit sexy. It was fun to watch when it first came out; Now I will have to watch each episode before you review it.
I seem to remember a cartoon version from when i was young which was quite good. As for this its looks like the usual silly series spin off to a movie (like highlander) but superior and actually good at times.
The cartoon would be Defenders of the Realm. I’m going to go over that series as well, after Conquest.
Used to watch this show every week after WCW Nitro. To this very day, I’m still pissed off at the ending cliffhanger.
So, what, Scorpion is played by Achmed the Dead Terrorist? Guess that explains the skull-like effect during the initial possession. Weird.

Well, I DO notice one positive- the outfits are consistent.
Scorpion looks like Scorpion from the 1st movie. and when I saw the Grand Master and Sub Zero, they looked like the Grand Master and Sub Zero from Mythologies!
I would have to say additionally that it seemed a bit rushed for a first episode.
