There used to be a lot of places like that out in the woods and hills where I live, but much fewer now as everything gets “developed” and the abandoned old building bulldozed. Even if they don’t plan to build for years, the land owners usually raze the buildings to avoid lawsuits and liability if kids go exploring and get hurt.
Also, I’m not sure if it’s because you’re farther west, north, or both…there is a lot of big ass evergreens where you are.
How do you find out about these places? Do you just go looking around? Is there some website that keeps track of abandoned locations? Is there just that many abandoned places around where you live, or do you travel around to find these places?
