It just looks like a somewhat generic muppet. I don’t mind the design.
But to the movie…this is like 1980s nostalgia for 1950s a little past it’s expiration date already by 1988. While I was an edgy teen when this came out and too old for this movie to be for me, I don’t remember this thing existing at all.
I think that I remember seeing a VHS or DVD for this movie in either a Blockbuster Video store or in the bargain bin of some department store, but I didn’t buy/rent it. Nowadays, it’s notable for featuring actors who would go on to contribute to the world of pop culture (Neil Patrick Harris, Thora Birch, Dustin Diamond) or actors who have been in things that you can’t believe actually agreed to do this (Ned Beatty, Shelly Winters).
