I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one who couldn’t sit through Game of Thrones. I have/had the same experience with all of the so-called “critically acclaimed” shows (Westworld, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things, etc.); I just don’t have the interest or attention span for big, sprawling shows like those. Whenever so-and-so from such-and-such show appears in a movie or a commercial, I have to be told who that person is ’cause 9 times out of 10 I don’t watch the hot show that they’re on. No, give me a wacky cartoon short or a biting sketch comedy show or a funny internet video every time.
Same. Any TV series, MMO, or anime that has 100,000 screaming fans trying to shove it down the gullet of anyone in eyeshot. Occasionally they’re right, but most of the time when I try whatever it is, I’m disappointed.
I haven’t seen anything more than 5 minutes of Game of Thrones. It’s too gory for my taste (although, I feel like you picked the only episode without gore or screwing. haha). Also, “Lady of Wintandfellasleep made me LOL.
Hey, did you two ever go see John Mulaney?
If by that you mean have I seen any clips or videos or read any tweets that he’s made about the show, no I haven’t. Again, I don’t follow Game of Thrones.
-Pardon the infodump; but I figured I should do that for the benefit of those who didn’t know what in the blue hizell you were talking about. Heck, I didn’t know what you were talking about until I Googled his name and GoT just now. Context, people.
I enjoyed John Mulaney on Kroll Show (which led to his and Nick Kroll’s Broadway show “Oh Hello”) and in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but that’s as far as my knowledge of Mulaney goes.
*That should’ve been: I don’t follow Game of Thrones, so any jokes about it or references to it would therefore be lost on me.
