Aaah, quality made in Germany. There’s nothing quite like it… (Being German doesn’t feel too comfortable right now. The shame, the shame…)
Don’t feel too bad about it. Germany needs to compensate somewhere for the dirt cheap high quality chocolate and food products.
And I think there must exist atleast one or two good pieces of german animation, I just can’t think of a title right now.
Their Cheeseburger in a Can was neither high quality nor cheap.
Canned food is canned food. But enough of this off-topic sandwich.

I recommend “Albert sagt… Natur – aber nur!”, which you can find on Youtube.
Mmh, anyone remember “Konferenz der Tiere” (the 1969 one, not the CGI one from 2010) ? Can’t really remember if it was “good”, but man, was it trippy.
And if we count marionettes as animation, the Augsburger Puppenkiste is probably our safest bet.
Could be worse, this could have been Lion and the King 2: Simba’s shame…or Lion and the King 1 1/2: now with more Jar Jar Binks.
I got this on dvd, no english dub but image quality is well… slightly better. I can upload that somewhere if you want. Actually the Son of the Lion King is a sequal, yes, a sequal. Wait the minute…. this is The Sequal. Game cover is the cover of the sequal. Someone messed things up. Diamond plot was is the sequal as in the first one they dig them.
In dvd there actually is trailers for good punch of other films from same production company, these trailers literally are just first 5 minutes of so called movies. I also got sequal and one other of these on dvd, but Lion and the King AKA King of Animals (1) is far the most “best”, specially the ending.

I was wondering when you were gonna review one of the Dingo Productions/Phoenix “games”. I was not disappoint.
I would love you to consider reviewing Tentacolino. That movie is absolutely abyssmal and probably the worst movie Ive ever seen.
I’ve been waiting 2 years for someone with Channel Awesome to go another Dingo Pictures/Pheonix Games review. They’re the only company in the world that makes Video Brinquedo & Animation Magic look good by comparison, barely.
I wanted to recommend MDickie’s “The You Testament & Soyuzmultfilm’s “Winnie The Pooh” for weird factor.
Kimba coloring pages, because no one’s going to notice if you steal art from Osamu Tezuka; the most famous mangaka in Japan.
The Lion King: 50% Kimba, 50% Jungle Emperor Leo, & 0% Hamlet.

Shit,I can’t watch any of their stuff all the way through. Trying to marathon their cartoons would be like watching Gerry & playing Desert Bus in the same day, while you’re kept awake by guys in furry costumes speaking to eachother in broken english.
Actually no, Aladdin and the Adventure of All Time has WAY better animation than this, and that says something. This is just… depressing to look at… to look at, and to listen to these voice actors wasting away their time with their complete effortless attempts at life… I’m gonna go get an ice cream sandwich.
Apparently ‘not done’ is an outdated term meaning ‘unacceptable’. Don’t know why they’d use old-timey talk like this for their movie, though.
Woah, those are some serious Dalmatians 3 flashbacks. The quality animation, the quality walk animations, even the quality voice actors are the same. Heck, I think I’ve already seen those “angry blue bird on a tree” scenes before o_O
Seeing how they can barely animate a quadrupedal mammal, I have to wonder why they were so dead set on including a crocodile, especially when the animators have no concept of “depth”.
Also, what does black panther need with a diamond mine?
Could someone please, please tell me what review/movie the clip of the man saying “OH MY GOD” is from, shown towards the end of this video? I love the extreme way he shouts it, looks like a good review. 🙂
On a side note, Phelous is the master of the non-sequitor. Someone, anyone, please– tell me what the “OH MY GOD!” clip is from!

Thanks, Phelous. I’m in Calgary, having bussed over here for a five-day
job interview with the police, exhausted from having done the physical
portion of the test today. Now I’m loading up the video in my hostel’s seating area with powercord and headphones in. Can’t think of a better way to unwind than laughing myself silly. 🙂
I wanted to thank you Phelous because I happen to have salvaged from the dumpster a VHS with one of the “movie” from Dingo Pictures (the Atlantis rip-off one) but I was unable to tell from the box which company was responsible for this… atrocity.
My only clue was that it was a german production. And then you showed clips from other productions and I instantly recognized one the reused model (from the The Fox and the Hound I presume) allowing me to close the case.
Unfortunately the version I have is in french (my mother tongue) so I don’t think you could make a use of it unless for a special quebecois episode ^^
Very nice review by the way. From the god-awful animation and voice acting to the poor pacing, bizarre plot and obnoxious character trait, it really looked like you were description the movie I owned which leads me to believe that they really mass-produced these crappy rip-offs with the same formula…
Loved these 2 videos, we owed them to little Phelous’ cleverness, MY GOD!

If you can survive Dingo Pictures together it’s meant to be.
I genuinely have no idea what the point of these films were. Who was the target audience? How could anyone think this’d sell? Who bought these before Phelous? Anyone? They can’t have turned a profit at any point, surely.
Even brain damaged, lobotomised 3-year-old kids wouldn’t find these “films” entertaining. I genuinely don’t know what Dingo Pictures hoped to accomplish.
