An actual space bar seems too off the rails for quantum leap. Maybe in the next season, it would have revealed that he leaped into an actor on a show like Star Trek or Babylon 5.
Yeah, a show about a guy who can leap across time and space into different peoples’ bodies (including those of a chimp and a cartoon character) aided by his holographic pal is totally within the realm or plausibility, but a space bar in the future? That’s the line.
Yes, that’s basically the idea. You wouldn’t expect to see anvils crushing people who later get up and walk away with giant lumps on their heads a la loony toons on quantum leap, either, although you might be tempted to point out that this is equally ridiculous.
Actually, I’m tempted to point out that you’re comment is ridiculous. If the producers were at one point planning to do it, then it’s not beyond the show’s boundaries.
BTW chief, it’s LOONEY TUNES, not Loony Toons. There’s no reason to get it wrong as long as libraries exist and you’ve got the information superhighway at your fingertips.

Ok, I feel like you’re taking this a bit too seriously. The last time i watched quantum leap was probably 16 years ago. It was a fun show, but I don’t really care.

No, i’m just baffled that you’re either so angry or enjoy making fun of people so much. If you’re goal is to get me to stop posting here, good job. I won’t be back. I was thinking a bit more about the show on the way home, and I realized that despite not having watched or even thought much about the show in about 16 years, it actually did have a fairly large influence on my life. It was one of the things that inspired me to get a PhD in physics, and was probably the reason I did martial arts all through college and grad school. Although I didn’t start in music because of the show (my parents signed me up for piano lessons when I was 2), I did sing “I Don Quixote” for a voice recital when I was in high school because of the episode where Sam sang it. Just in case you wondered why I bothered commenting at all.

I was so excited when I saw the lost footage on the Lost Media reddit that I had to crosspost it onto the Quantum Leap reddit and share it on the Quantum Leap Discord channel. Now if we can find the Space Bar portion of the ending and any other lost/ scrapped ideas from the show!
I’ve gotta say, this is an impressive find. It’s too bad the only footage is that rough first take.
I do hope you find out more about this lost ending, it’s really interesting.
