“My dad shot her, it was weird.”  I assume Seth Green said that, because he was improvising what to say when the scene starts, and he didn’t think it would end up in the final movie.

The kid in this flick is the ultimate embodiment of spoiled, pampered, entitled, shallow, pretentious, self-absorbed, self-indulgent 90s-ness. I want to smack his stupid smiling face so hard.

The thing is, no kid in the 90s actually acted like this, outside of maybe some rich southern California Hollywood elite surfer spawn…which would explain the clueless depiction of youth culture in the 90s by their absentee, baby-boomer, Hollywood socialite parents. Also, more annoying is the depiction of rust belt Americans as boorish and backwards.

This movie is kind of like the Jem and the Holograms of it’s day: A completely misguided attempt to cash in on what the previous generation thinks the youth culture of the day want to see. It also failed to capture the interest of “the kids”…barely making back it’s modest 2.6 million dollar budget according to IMDB…and it’s had over two decades to do it.

Classy and radicle all in the same review!! How can we handle it?!? 🙂

2:49 the best reaction to every kid film about ‘moving’ ever; awesome!! I thought the same thing about the limited relationship and him pointing out how there is no point in him fighting. Thank you…

The pantsing reactions were great too

The ever amazing Seth Greene!! Eeeek!! Calm…I’m calm…

Anyone else notice that the prep leader looks like Dolph Lundgren? So many theories….

This review was RAD!!! So were the earrings! Can’t wait for the next one

I feel like someone else reviewed this movie… Someone who used to be funny but isn’t anymore… Someone who recently looked at The Wild Wild West in a review that featured clips from the movie more laugh-worthy than the review itself…

    Fucking Linkara.

I actually saw this back in the day at a slumber party when it came out. My family had just moved from California to the midwest and the kids at the slumber party kept asking me if the stuff in the movie was real for the Cali kid! I was like, okay, we DID rollerblade alot. I’ve never surfed before though! Your hamming up the no-adults-universe was pretty hilarious. I just realized, hey, nobody in that restaurant tried to stop those kids! And young Jack Black is always a pleasure 😛

What’s the morale of the story in this movie? Conform to the bullies’ standards and you’ll win over a fickle girlfriend! Lame 😛

I have to admit I’m glad I signed up to your patreon to support you. I’ve been watching you since 2010 and always look forward to jokes in your videos. Keep up the great work!
