I felt so lost watching it. Made me realize just how little I remembered the show. I know I at least used to liek the show enough to have Scully’s old hair style in highschool.
I hear a Married With Children revival is in the works.
Yeah, during the exposition dumps, I found myself pulling out my 3Ds.
Finder Spyder must have been a reference to Web Crawler.
They brought back cigarette man? And after 20 years they still are playing the stupid “not reveal what the plot is” game…
I stopped watching X-Files after season 1, even back then it annoyed me. Mysteries are one thing, but always ending each episode with the cast shrugging and going “eh, we will never know what actually happened” left me fuming in anger.
Mulder going through the promo shots was hilarious. Tooms probably loved posing for his mug shot. I can’t believe Scully STILL works at that vaguely creepy religious hospital. I know it’s probably not supposed to be suspicious, but I’m not quite convinced yet.
It felt proper old school X-Files in a lot of scenes and I really liked that. That conspiracy they set up with a billion current social/political issues referenced was quite cringeworthy and felt very shoehorned, though.
Mulder and Scully broke up because he was depressed? Ow, my heart.

That episode name’s going to be problematic for German speaking countries.

Agreed on all counts!

And lastly, does Mitch Pileggi age AT ALL??
