You know a show is delightfully bad when it’s Gilligan’s Island crossover/parody is the best episode.
Great review Alison, I always knew Baywatch was kinda dumb but I had no idea just how wonderfully dumb it was until I started watching your great series. 🙂
After watching Baywatching, it was easy to see Eddie being the loser of the series, but its just sad where he is still the loser in his own mind in a Oz type dream of Gilligans Island. Wow, just wow, could Eddie get any lower, probably.
I can see why you like this episode so much, since its a good recreation of a classic show and adapted it well. That and it is over the top enough that its just great even in the obviously stupid moments. That and the scenes of Hasslehoff watching Knight Rider were just awesome edits and just fit the crossover theme.
You would think after the Minnow II crashed, they wouldn’t put their last hopes on Gilligan and Maryanne looking for help in Minnow III. Unless Eddie was planning Maryanne’s death because he didn’t think she returned his affections. That makes sense. He is a stealthy serial killer. Everyone on the island was his prey.
Something compels me. Out of nowhere it’ll punch me…
I’ll be ready! I’LL BE REDEH!
Never you fear! NO, DON’T YOU FEYAH!
I’ll be ready! FOREVAH AND AH-UL-WAYS, I’M ALWAYS HEEEEEYUH!
dododoodoodooot (piano tinkling) dododootdootdoot
And I know I must marathon Baywatching once again. Alison, have you considered uploading to Youtube, or is the copyright these days too much of a hassle?
A Gilligan’s Island Crossover? And Eddie took Mrs. Howe’s place? XD Â Was he wanting some of Thorpe’s money? Wasn’t Mary Ann the professor’s girl? And Gilligan was the forever alone cast member?

I have never seen a single episode of Baywatch, but I remember when it aired. It was always showing up on the Preview Channel.
I could tell it was too stupid to watch, even back then.
Nevertheless, I thank you for reviewing it. I have vicariously seen the show through this series.
Keep going! Keep going!
this is the best episode of baywatching
i wonder if there’ll be crossovers for internet reviewers 15-20 years from now like in baywatch/g’s island, lol
Ha, they could only get Gilligan and one of “the rest”.
Oh, I LOVE cheesy crap and I LOVE Gillian’s Island. This is wonderful!!!!! 😀
Now I know what I missed by never watching Gilligan’s Island… and it’s not something I regret. 😀

Russell Johnson was too smart to be in this Episode.
Smart enough? Â Get it?
Oh and ‘Community’ did this schtick a million times better.
