I agree that even if these don’t look that good up close they do look nice from a distance, which I’m sure like most people myself included is how they’re going to see their figures. I think I’ll definitely check this out. On a slightly related note I know back when Rock Band 2 came out Harmanix(at least I think they did could’ve been somebody else) let people have 3D models of their Rock Band characters made, I don’t know the exact details behind it or what the quality was like so I don’t know if those were better or worse than 3DMe.

Hmm… the idea is cool, but I’ll wait just a few more years for it to fully develop before I get myself one of those 3d printers.

The texture makes me think of marshmallow peeps for some reason. Does the statue really have pixel jaggies, or is that the video resolution?
A little more customization would be nice. Maybe pick the color of the uniform, like in Real Ghostbusters.

Siro is THE GREATEST CHARACTER! EVER! Everything should have Siro in it. The top rated movie on IMDb is Shawshank Redemption at 9.4/10. Add Siro to it and it goes up to 11. Yeah that’s right, Siro is so amazing that he breaks the rating system.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been eyeing these sites for a while and been curious. Even with the current quality flaws, I can’t help but fear us sculptors will be out of jobs soon. I’m thinking it’s probably best to start working with the technology , rather than ignore it.

It looks like someone took white spray paint, aimed it straight up and let the particles fall on the figure. Several times.
