Well, this is Orci and Kurtzmann. They did the same thing with Transformers Prime – start an arc, develop a character and a plot, and then WHAM, character killed off plot totally forgotten, bring out the next MacGuffin. They are terrible writers and it says a lot about Hollywood and american TV that they are getting more and more work.
