Oh boy, oh boy! I’ve waited my entire life for this one moment of pure glory!! Here it goes! FIIIIIIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah yes, my 0.15 second of triumph achieved. I win the interwebs. I can finally die a happy woman…

Ok now that that sillyness is out of the way, this movie looks amazingly fun, I really gotta find a copy. And the songs… just spectacular! The “Against the Ninja” song was my favorite, I literally went “tae kwon, tae kwon, tae kwon do!” outloud. Thanks for bringing that movie to my attention! 😀

I thought for a minute that the song a little after the 4 minute mark was added into the review as a joke at first, because of where I had heard it before.

It was used in the game Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon as its closing credits music.

I heard RiffTrax is riffing the movie this October and they have simulcasts for their live shows too. I look forward to seeing it considering what has been reviewed here. 😀

This had to be the most surreal experience for myself and my fiance. We live in the Orlando area and watching this review had us pointing out and shouting at the computer during every shot where we recognized the background. It seems like 90% or more of this film was done directly on or immediately near the UCF campus, back when the Arboretum was still open. We’re very excited and due to the mention of it being a Rifftrax feature in October, we’re probably going to go and shout with our fellow Central Floridians everytime the old UC17 plaza is clearly visible, or perhaps name every UCF structure as it appears, with the unfortunate omission of the modern art which confusingly resides there now.

Thank you for bringing the most exciting thing to probably ever happen on UCF grounds since the Nintendo Campus Challenge of 1987 to our attention!

I saw RiffTrax’s take on the movie (their live simulcast I mentioned about in my last comment awhile ago). Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy (aka Tom Servo), and Bill Corbett (aka other Crow T. Robot) put on one entertaining show with some great insight and riffs. They also showed a 70s short called Measuring Man which was very bizarre. Miami Connection itself is the Puma Man equivalent of the 80s and actually could be the very best so bad it is good movie (it is at least one of them for sure) if it had Donald Pleaseance as a villain. I really enjoyed it and recommend seeing the RiffTrax version (if they are able to have a streamed version of it on their website) if anyone is interested. Thank you. 😀

The bub and I saw the Rifftrax version  last night and I gotta say I wish you (you =  the Allison Pregler) had been in some way more involved than just being the indirect means by which the bub and I found out about it. Your riffs on it are echoed in many of theirs. We talked about the low odds but were still kind of hoping. As was, still love the review. :3 Apparently Y. K. Kim was in one of the Orlando theatres, but he wasn’t in ours. It would have been glorious if he had been.
