I’m loving these ‘Let’s Play’ Silent Hill videos! Awhile back I started watching your videos from TGWTG and jumped over here shortly after. I enjoy all your videos, but these have been my favorite.
I’m actually glad you showed your death against the lizard in Part 5, it actually got me pretty anxious watching you trying to beat it the second time. Also, I wanted to say that I like the fact that you are so familiar with the game, it adds a lot to the video and you point out some really great side notes that I had never known before. (Mostly because when I played it I was running from place to place scared out of my mind.) Also it makes the videos feel less ‘bogged down’ than other ‘Let’s Play’ videos I’ve seen where the reviewer spends more time stuck in areas being lost.
Anyways, just thought I would say these LPs have been great and can’t wait to see the rest.
I was cracking up at the “we’re best friends!” line with the similar decorating. Do you think they call each other at night so they can coordinate their outfits the next day?
I’ve been wondering – do you cut out any looks at the maps, or do you just know the game so well you don’t need them much anymore?
This has inspired me to try playing the game myself (well, this and the fact it’s only $6 now on PSN). It’s been a long time since I’ve played anything with tank controls, and wow, I’m finding walking really challenging. :/ Since I didn’t have to actually move to kill him, I managed to kill the naked pteradactyl in the diner with no trouble…but haven’t ventured outside yet.
I love these so much. This part of the game really draged for me. I remember how long it took me to figure out the plastic bottle and the blood were connected. god I was such a moron.
Ah, the Lizard. Even though I had seen a playthrough of this game before playing it, fighting that thing for the first time terrified me. I remember seeing it and freaking out and instead of shooting it I spend most of the time running away because… you know… running away in a Survival Horror game can take you far. XD Felt so satisfying when I finally beat it.
And I’m with you on Dahlia. I can’t stand that stupid child burning psychopath. She talks in riddles all the time and just leaves me confused as hell. It’s Gyromancy, I tell you… GYROMANCY! D8
And yes, I hate to admit it, but I am a shameless Harry fan. I mean, sure he’s clueless and very naive at times, but as you said in your first video he would go to hell and back to save his daughter. That fact always makes me grin. X3 Harry’s such a great character and seems to be a great father.
Right, I’ve ranted enough. XD Keep them coming! Have fun going to Hell again.
Hey dude! My first comment, and it´s streight from Vienna. I hope to see you there some day at a convention or something. But anyway….
Silent Hill was the first Horror Game i´ve every played, and the first time i played it, i could not sleep the hole night. I was so extreamly scared of sleeping.^^
Then i played SIllent Hill 2 and it was not better. When i first saw my own character dead by the TV, is was like: Ach du Scheisse!(Holy Shit!). And also the third part of the game means so much to me. And these games does have the best soundtrack of all games.
Then came part 4…..it was not terrible….but the “horror world” was gone, the enemies were boring and annoying…it was more a Thriller than a Horror Game. And i played part 5 on the PC for maybe one and a half hour. It was a little better than the 4th one, but i was scared i would destroy my feelings for Sillent Hill. So i stoped playing. IMO there is no future for SIllent Hill anymore. The only way to save the series is (imo) to let the Japanese do it again.
I want to say thank you for playing the first Sillent Hill. It brings back so many great memories.
Really enjoying your let’s play of silent hill, I can tell by your knowing every single line before its spoken you’ve played it before. Ive never actually played a silent hill or resident evil game before so its great watching your let’s play, yoiu should definatly tackle Resident Evil after. You keep talking bout the multiple endings to the game, might i suggest if you havent already thought of it and havent finished capturing your footage that you do a clue movie style ending to your let’s play, with the multiple endings, i know it would be a ton of extra work but would definatly make for an awesome video. I hope this wont be your last Let’s Play.
I still can’t pinpoint the big green enemy on the cover art. I know that’s the pterydactyl on the left, and the school kid witha knife on the right, but that big one in the back I cannot guess who!

Wow, I can’t believe I never heard those two gun shots outside the hospital before, and I’ve beaten this game so many times.
How did that flying monster that Doctor K killed get in the Hospital anyway?

Its all just a stroll in the park for you. But this game still scares me…..I sad.
