the warpped plot makes more sense to me now than it did when i was a kid. part 1’s ending was a horrifying jump scare for small child me, though now its pretty funny
Fun fact: In Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Captain Phasma (the silver suited Stormtrooper) is inspired by Phantasm. The name “Phasma” is derived from “Phantasm,” and the chrome armor reminded director J.J. Abrams of the silver spheres.
In speaking of which, I just watched J.J. Abram’s restoration of Phantasm on SyFy yesterday.
Hmmmm, I think I do remember you reviewing Gerry years ago. Haven’t come across it on this site yet.
