I was never a fan of Torchwood, it always felt like a good idea done stupidly. With plot elements consisting of Sex Gas from credible writers, it was amazingly dumb.
That was my opinion on it until I saw the amazing mini-series you mentioned, that they did for it’s 3rd series. Children of Earth, was an amazing story line that creeped people out when it first aired. It still contained a lot of stupid but it was by far the best thing ever to spin off from Doctor Who.
They should have ended it there really… but they didn’t.
