Ass Blasters: Graboids in

Ass Blasters: Graboids in disguise.

I don't play favortes with Tremors movies; I think of them all as one long movie, especially since that's how I first saw them, in a marathon.

Hey Lupa, I really like this

Hey Lupa, I really like this review, and I understand your views towards this movie, however, this and the prequel explain much to me and to others. Like in your second review you said you didn't know how the monsters could appear in such place, the Assblasters, explain of how they can be in other places. and the prequel *Spoiler* little graboids, explain how they can grow. Now to explain somethings I believe would make sense to some of your questions or somethings you missed to help explain, (I not saying your dumb or anything, but that I want to help others understand, if they don't get it (if you do see the flow of process but still find it hard to follow, then ok))

  1. Assblasters don't Multiply? Why Not: I find it helps with control, and since they are carrying eggs, (it's shown in the movie), It would be harder to multiply. It also helps with shriekers, for example if 6 shierkers are born and multiple into 36 and then change into assblasters, then it helps with populating the new areas they fly (glide) to with more graboids.
  2. The egg hatched recently:The scientist said the egg was ancient and that it hatched about 100-300 hundred years ago, and not recently, Say that they were in Perfection before. (Prequel bait)
  3. A Metaphor of Perfect Hunting: I find each lifecycle is a representation of the challenges of a monster in three settings, First Graboids, They hunt you from the ground and use sound to track, difficult to not die. Second Shierkers, They hunt on land (above ground) and use heat to track you, you have to hide you entire body from them and are dealing with them on equal ground. and Third Assblasters, They hunt you using the same method of shierkers, but can hunt you from the air. these signify the three hunting ground (on land) that is used by this one lifecycle, Bear don't attack from the air or underground, but these things, keep you on your toes, and when they change you have to change your location of hiding.

Those are my views, and I like this film, I like all the Tremor Movies, even the prequel, I Love the Series, however there are certain episodes I don't like to watch, because I don't like them as much, (about 1 or 2) but the other episodes, I can watch them forever

Heya, glad you liked the

Heya, glad you liked the review. Smile Few things though:

1. I don't have a problem with the Assblasters not multiplying, I just don't understand why they go into food comas. Apparently neither does the movie since they don't explain it.

2. The quote in the movie about the egg:

McFlappyhat: I've already carbon dated it. The yolk is recent, but the egg is 300 years old.

BLM: They laid dormant for 300 years?

McFlappyhat: I'm afraid so.

So yes, the eggs did only recently hatch. Also the prequel is set 100 years before the first movie, the timing doesn't even match for prequel bait.

3. I get the functions of each part of the life cycle, but as one species it just doesn't make sense, especially since they previously stated these existed in the Precambrian era (if they weren't completely evolved they were evolved enough to have the spikes on their side since that's what the fossil was). If they developed the other stages of the life cycle to adapt later on I guess it'd make sense, but...it just doesn't seem to gel with me.

I like theTV series too, that'll be fun to review. Smile

First off great reviews Lupa.

First off great reviews Lupa. I too love part 3. The CGI is bad, but understandable being direct to video. Not as good as 1 or 2, but still very enjoyable and great Burt lines. Nice to see someone else enjoy it. Also loved the TV series. When you review it I hope you use the scene of Burt telling the alien abductee people THEY are nuts after his anti government rant.

1.I may have some basic explination for Food Coma. Normally a AB will eat fresh meat/wild game. That one was fed a cooked ham with some glaze. This means lots of processed chemicals for the glaze. Chemicals that reacted to its body chemistry and knocked it out.... thato or it was just plot convenience.

2. There are insects and plants that lay dormant for years at a time. Yes it is only a few years, but think of the life span and size comparison. We are talking about a bug egg compared to a giant egg larger than a football.

3. To me the life cycle makes sense. Looking at it from all four movies we get: Egg to ---Dirt Dragon.. ok this makes sense it is the larval stage and a small creature from small egg. Then we get Dirt Dragon --> Graboid. It is the Adult version of the larva stage. It is now able to hunt better and get larger prey. We get Graboid --> Shrieker. Again makes sense. Graboids were restricted by terrain. They can't move through rock. Loose soil and dirt are no problem, but harden that stuff up and it is confined. Shrieker gives the species the ability to move out of a confined terrain and into new hunting grounds. Also ability to hunt where Graboid can't. From Shriekers ----> AssBlasters. Again to me it makes sense. This to me is the pregnancy stage. The ABs can now cross large bodies of water and land thus spreading the species to new fresh hunting grounds.

Imagine if they never changed. You got graboids in perfection valley and they eats all animals and people. Soon it is blocked off with nothing getting in. Now you got a giant dead zone. The graboid eventually die out due to starvation. The other two forms solve this problem. Imagine if one of the ABs managed to fly past the rockies and lay eggs. Lots of green valleys for a graboid to hunt all over the midwest.

My bad sorry, Guess I should

My bad sorry, Guess I should watch it again, and I want to stress this, "I never, in anyway, meant those points as attacks on you" That isn't my style. Sorry for my errors, I always want people to enjoy movies and I want to help people understand them (like a person not understanding a scene, and needs someone to explain it to them for them to understand) . Anyway Can't wait for the fourth movie and the TV Series (question, do you plan to review the series as a whole or do individual episodes?) :)

Nah, I didn't take them as attacks, just wanted to clarify some points. When I actually do make an error it's good to know.

The TV series is going to be one video, but I'm going to touch on all the episodes.

There is actually a really

There is actually a really simply explanation as to why they dont multiply as ass-blasters.

multiplying actualyl occurs in the shrieker-stage

as long as there is food available, theyregurgitate teh embryos that will become the eggs . . . as long as there is food available . . . they simply do not transform

when all food is exhausted, they change . . . the embryos becoming eggs . . . to be carried off to where there is food . . .

I think . . .

point is, as long as they are replicating . . . they dont become assblasters . . . if they cant replicate anymore, they become ass blasters . . .

I think i failed as this explanation - _ -

Im pretty much in a greement

Im pretty much in a greement with you on this Lupa.  I do enjoy Tremors 3 (it has a quaint early 00's feel to it) I can understand the criticism it gets but like you I hardly think its the worst of the series.  Also to be frank Tremors 3 is better than many other horror installments and the Tremors franchise has done better than certain other franchises.  Yeah the CG wasn't that good and Tremors 2 did a better job with it but to be fair Ive seen worse CG from more mainstream movies from around the same time (cough cough Dreamcatcher).  Great review for a fun movie.

Man, I've played early PS2

Man, I've played early PS2 games that looked better than the CGI.
Also, the DVD cover is hilariously bad: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/70/Tremors3DVDscan.jpg
That said, the film ain't that bad. If you cut out all the boring talk at the start of the movie I wouldn't have any real problems with it, bad CGI or no.

The Butt Launchers and Ridley

The Butt Launchers and Ridley Scott's Alien should have a competition to see who had the most contrived, unnecessarily complicated and unlikely conception. Great review btw.

TGWTG is running a little

TGWTG is running a little behind with your uploads. Waiting for the trolls to cool off? You had one crazy b**ch spaming your last video. I got her banned, but she just made another account & kept doing it. (Well, she claims to be "female," but I suspect t's actually a 13 year old boy. Web search of the banned name suggests he does nothing but play FPS games all day).
