Found it interesting that these “movies” were able to completely break Phelan but leave Allison smiling. I feel like she wouldn’t rat under a torture session. Step your poker face up, Phelan.

I thought the mall of America was in DC where the Smithsonian museums and the Washington Monument are. I can’t hate their kids’ stuff, I mostly feel bad for how much their parents worked them.
No, the Mall of America is an actual mall in Minnesota. What you’re thinking of is the National Mall.

No, the Mall of America is in Minnesota. I’ve never been there, but I’ve been to Washington DC about 100 times and it’s definitely not there.
Anyway, it’s weird that the Mary Kate and Ashley Detectives videos are usually the most tolerable ones. I can’t say that they’re good, but they’re the least bad. This one had a very weak plot, but at least it had a plot. The fashion college video was just more girls obsessing over clothes and boys and generally celebrating being shallow. Plus college age boys creepily ogling underage girls. The Mall of America video might have been enjoyable if it actually had a script of some kind. It was just ‘the Olsen Twins and friends go to the mall and do stuff’.
No, I’m saying that that area in DC is called a mall and since it’s in DC shouldn’t it be called the mall of America? Granted I just looked it up and it’s called the National Mall.

Not to mention that they could’ve done what they did in any random mall. They didn’t have to fly all the way to Minnesota just to eat a tray full of fries and perform a crappy concert.

I remembered seeing a promo for that Mall Party movie on a VHS all the time growing. I think it was on either a Land Before Time or Scooby Doo tape.

Damn, I watch this and all I can think is, “They must have worked those two little girls like horses, churning out one crappy video after another while they were still young and cute. I’ve never seen two human beings treated more like a commodity. They were nothing but a cash cow for their greedy parents.” And what exactly is their appeal? It’s not like either one of them possesses any actual talent. They can’t sing or dance or act worth a damn. They’re just a pair of vapid, anime-eyed kewpie dolls. Their only claim to fame is they played a little girl on a long-running network sitcom who spouted one-liners that no child their age would have ever said, because there’s a group of people who think that sort of thing is just too fucking adorable, while the rest of us just groan and say: “Oh my god…”

If i didn’t know better, the actors in the Navy adventure were paid in cartoon sound effects and bad comedy. Crispin Glover should have shown his sweet dance moves. I agree with Phelous , the Olsen twins caused Pearl Harbor and the Michael Bay movie, Pearl Harbor. On a positive note, Down Periscope invaded and blew up the twins, saving the day… wait, that was another fever dream. When will the Steven Segal mysteries on the BBC be released?
The true mystery is when will the Steven Segal mysteries on the BBC be made? Steven Segal is under seige as Sherlock Holmes and instead of Watson he has the Olsen Twins. Then Kelsey Grammer, in a submarine, acting like a pirate, listening to The Village People, blows them up… no wait that was a fever dream… again. I do agree with Phelous in that they caused Pearl Harbor, as well as the movie, Pearl Harbor. Well, i just doubled my commentary at a 50% discount, time to check out

Wow, I bet that was filmed back when Mall of America was still cool and had a dozen novelty gift shops like The Bone Store and I think there was a Discovery Channel science store, plus some comic book shops. Now there’s 4 Gaps, 4 Starbucks, 4 Victoria’s Secrets.
In college I knew a guy in a band called Olsen Twin Suicide.
I have fond memories of watching these tapes as a young girl. Never knew these tapes were bad. Thanks for opening my eyes. And thanks for these types of reviews. They’re so funny. Love watching you two.
What’s wrong with heterosexual males being into fashion? Then again, fashion is an extremely boring and pompous subject… not to mention unnecessary. “ooo look at my designer clothes that cost 16 thousand dollars”, just sounds like overpriced clothes to me. I prefer to wear clothes for warmth. You know, the thing they’re originally designed for in the first place.
