I can’t remember, but either Comet! or Movieplex has a tendency to show this movie once in awhile for those of you who still have cable.

I hope this lives up to it’s name

Birdman, Space Messaiah Ball and Cherib Boy comments made me sooo laugh!! And that kid could fly on those ears…such irony

Apparently Space Jesus makes the best magic 8 ball that can double as a dodgeball…wow…..

Why was this made? Who was asking for a Mad Max, Airbourne crossover? I didn’t think they had a shared fanbase

Also, cool bag; can’t wait for the next episode

Glowing ball space Jesus was slated to be a main character in Spaceballs 2: the Search for More Money.

Rollerblades? What Rollerblades? I see no Rollerblades in this cinematic masterpiece!

Was that Alexi Sayle at 8:16? Good lord it was! The two times I tried to watch this film I never managed to hold out long enough to find out he was in it. I also kept expecting the little kid to say “California?” as he reminds me so strongly of that kid in The Wizard.

Honestly, if lacrosse were on roller skates, I might actually give a fuck about it.

I think “rollerskating in the desert” pretty much sums up what’s wrong with this movie.

Wait a goshdarn minute. A desert planet run by corrupt rulers? A prophecy about a saviour bringing water to the people? This is just extremely poor man’s Dune! On rollerblades!

I see that some of the fight scenes are going off of Casey Jones logic.

What the hell was that? It’s like Dune and Mad Max had a baby that was stolen from the crib and raised by Tank Girl.

I’ve seen this several times but could never remember the title. I serious don’t think it was ‘Solar Babies’ I think it was shown under another title.

$20,000,000? $20,000,000? James Cameron made ‘Aliens’ the same year for $18,000,000 more than half of which went to Sigourney Weaver’s salary.

There certainly is A LOT to make fun of in this movie. But it actually is good… or at least OK.

In the future orphan kids overthrow a fascist state which is holding all of Earth’s water hostage. Now, that’s a fun story!

Seeing this as a kid I liked the idea and still do love the concept of kids being the heroes and the adults being the villains.

The fascists aren’t just holing the world’s water hostage, they’re also imprisoning the children in an orphanage which makes the conflict much more personal.

Also, kids are capable of turning evil like the orphanage bully who becomes a fascist soldier.

There are obvious heavy influences from other films like, ‘Beyond Thunderdome’ ‘Dune’ and ‘Ice Pirates.’

Ha! I picked this movie up for $2.99 in the bargain bin of my local Giant Tiger. It took me a good half an hour of searching through it to see if I could find anything good in it and that was all I came up with.

    Good times.
