This is the first Starscream bootleg on the show huh? I guess Humpscream doesn’t count. Also, I love having to tell what jokes were prepared and what was improvised since these Bootlegs are so unpredictable.

Not really because Humpscream’s mold was based on Breakaway and I just gave him Starscream characteristics sense they made him look more like a classic seeker. He probably was intended to knock off Starscream a bit with that but it could be any seeker really so this is the 1st clear cut Starscream rip off on the show.

I haven’t enjoyed a BZ so much in a while, and it’s mostly because of the figure breaking/falling apart. I’m a bit surprised Phelous didn’t destroyed it completely at the end XD

As for the Superglue in the fingers, I know the feeling. I imagine most people probably know it already but anyway, dishwashing soap and hot water is a good solution.

Well, this seems kinda terrible, especially seeing as it looks okay at first look. Really annoying that it just falls to pieces straight out of the package >.>

Awful, AWFUL paint and detail overall. Worst of all that the cockpit is unpainted totally. That sucks, especially since it does have paint.

    Hahahaaa X’D
Every time you talk about the missile NOT working, it works, when you think it works, it doesn’t. Just hilarious. Man, they just did not give a shit when making this, huh? Just wanted to make a quick buck, which I hope they NEVER did.

Oh, that cone headed transformer is actually from 2003’s Armada (the show I grew up on), called Thrust. He was one of the few characters in that show to have an arc and development, and is a pretty decent figure… honestly, I kinda wanna see what crap job the bootleggers did to it.

Honestly, surprised you gave it as high a score as you did, figured it’d rate a 1/10 at best.

Yeah they threw me off by having an Armada toy in there and I didn’t feel like searching through every line to find out who he was, heh.

I’d also given up on Armada before he was on the show, at least as far as I recall. Still like the Armada Starscream figure though.

Heh, not a criticism or anything, just thought you might wanna know ^^

Yeah, giving up on the cartoon was probably the smart call. I loved it as a kid… but man, it does not hold up as an adult (or even when I tried re-watching it as a teenager :P)
Though I gotta say, if you’re interested at all in comic books, the comic version of Armada is actually pretty fantastic and well worth a read. It’s easy and cheap to track down on Amazon, IDW put it out in trade paperback form.

I was wondering what Changeable Robot would do, apparently it’s goal was to be a stubborn bitch. The Phelous roar was the best part. Clearly, it has raised the ante on a top notch show… though I’m still waiting for that super silly sitcom “Phelous D1 and Dave Collier are roommates”

Fun fact: Ernie Hudson (the actor who played Winston) voiced a character in the TV series Transformers: Prime.

I didn’t notice this the first time. That shot of the back for the combinable, the one on the left is Defensor.

But weirdly, they removed Hot Spot the fire engine for that jet plane to make something different while still using the other guys as the arms and legs, still.

Still got my Defensor somewhere, I should dig him out and set him up somewhere. He was one of my fave toys as a kid, especially since I ended up with way more Decepticons than Autobots. Mostly because they turned into jets and helecopters which I loved.

The robot on the packaging looks like Vehicle Force Voltron (AKA. Dairugger XL or whatever he’s called in Japan).

Where do you find these things?  It seems this one has ceased to exist.  I’ve always loved Transformers and have a small collection of my own.  When I was a kid dad showed up one day with a bunch of knock of transformers and robot knockoffs he got from somewhere.  Well we only had a few actual Transformers so instead of Deceptions vs autobot it became transformers vs the fakies.   It was fun as the fakes tended to pop apart so we could do battle damage on them.   Funny how none of them were near as bad as this monstrosity.

    The Fakies never won BTW…
