Hard to tell from the review, but this still might be better than Love At First Bite 😛

    Stylin’ cape, Phelan!

This may not be a horror/Halloween movie, but it would be great to see you review Roller Gator.  Just to add, they have a character in there that looks a lot like Phelous.

What was that red dress made out of? Leather? Recycled trash bags?

The jokes are very hit & miss, but I laughed way harder at it than anything spit out of Hollywood in the past 15 years. I guess I’m just too stuck on the Monty Python / Mel Brooks comedy formula.

Boris Karloff, in this movie, looks a lot like his clay counterpart in Rankin Bass’ Mad Monster Party…..You know, the one with Jessica Rabbit as a robot, Phyllis Diller as herself, & Jimmy Stewart as the world’s biggest dweeb. (100% accurate description). Weirdest thing I ever  saw Karloff in was Glen or Glenda…No wait, that was Bela Lugosi. Why do I keep mixing those two up? Anyway, Glen or Glenda is the weirdest, trippiest goddamn thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It was like “WTF did I just watch?”

Your triple fired, Phelan. What’cha gonna do now?

Yeah, the humor in this one looks very flip=floppy. Some of it looks funny, but yeah, I can see why other ones would be cringeworthy.

Still better than anything by Seltzerberg though, I’m sure. And probably anything by the guy who directed Breaking Wind.

oh god, Hellraiser Revelations. no one should ever be exposed to that pile of garbage. to this day, it’s still the worst film I’ve ever seen. I’ll take the Pinhead joke over that film any day. hell, even Clive Barker himself didn’t like it. I did like his twitter response though: “I want to put on record that the flic out there using the word Hellraiser IS NO FUCKIN’ CHILD OF MINE! I have NOTHING to do with the fuckin’ thing. If they claim its from the mind of Clive Barker, it’s a lie. It’s not even from my butt-hole.”

I haven’t seen this film yet, and I guess it looks like a quick sit through. if I can find a copy, I’ll definitely check it out. oh, and just in case I forget, Happy Halloween Phelan & Lupa. ^-^

This film had better Hellraiser makeup and costume.  X_x  They should consider getting Corman to do the the next one.  He’d do a better job w/ a lower budget.  :-/

while that would be a good idea, realistically, it’s never going to happen. the last movie he directed was Frankenstein Unbound, and since then he’s mostly been producing films up until 2014. plus, he’s getting close to reaching the age of 90. my advice, if you want a true follow up to Hellraiser, read the comic books by Clive Barker himself. the only news I read recently is that Sonar Entertainment is developing a Hellraiser TV series. if they followed the same path as Ash Vs The Evil Dead and brought back Doug Bradley as Pinhead and have Clive Barker oversee the project, then I’d watch it.

    “You’re fired.”

Nice zoom in on Phelan being creepy all up on that skull.

I think of the thousands of movies THE CORMSTER has directed (or produced), I think the only one I’ve liked was The Raven with Vincent Price. And I liked that one mostly because it was the furthest thing from an adaptation of The Raven you could possibly think of. And it had Price at his corniest.
