must be another product from the Daidouji company. being a fan of Cardcaptor Sakura, this is a hilarious concept. I can imagine if this was in the anime where Tomoyo suggested this product to her mother, and then giving Sakura & Kero a copy of the prototypes similar to the cell phones she gave them in the anime.

If you want a real Evilstick that would give you nightmares, is if one had a picture of The King Lion from ‘Lion and the King’ and when pressed would say “Diamonds, My God”.
As for use for the Evilstick, it would be great to use for Halloween and maybe a prank to. Yet, for the price outside of dollar store, is just not worth it. Its just a fun yet very stupid toy, and is on the cheaper end of magic wands.
I would personally like to see a version where the picture is Crazy Old Man and the sound effect/pretty music is his “DOYEEEEEE!” catchphrase. Perfect for every stupid and/or pointlessly-narrated occasion!
Well, to be fair to the mom who bought this, I could totally understand someone thinking that the “Evilstick” name was a bad translation of the original name of the toy. I mean, the picture’s covered up with foil, and everything else on the package makes it look like your average magical girl wand. I don’t really fault her for it, even if it turned out to be a mistake. It seriously happens to everyone at one point.
However, if I was in her situation, I would have probably just taken it away from my kid once someone saw the demon girl and then show it to all my friends later on (because of how bizzare/insane it is, not out of moral outrage), and called it a day. I definitely wouldn’t threaten to sue anyone, or demand justice, or whatever.
So, the Cardcaptor Sakura stick turned out to be a Madoka stick. You should have known this would get Faustian.
You should be commended for your efforts, Phelous. That’s quite the expense spent on… this.
Be sure to exorcise it with every incantation on the planet. Just in case. We can’t just cleanse it with fire now, can we?

I bet by now there are a ton of creepy pastas featuring the Evilstick, but nothing will beat it’s actual bizarre existence. Though I suppose if I was stuck in a Chinese factory making bootlegs, I’d be all to happy to create something that would mess with the people of America.
Every since I saw people sharing links and whatnot on Facebook I figure we see a video about from Phelous eventually, seems I was right. I had no idea this was called the Evil Stick when you get a toy named that for a child you’re really risking a lot so clearly that mother should’ve been more cautious and actually read the top.
The real Evil was the mother, for buying unsafty toys on the dolar store for the daughter.

Jesus H. Christ I was only expecting fusion of two of my favourite things (Cardcaptor Sakura and Bootleg Zones). What I didn’t expect was a lifetime of emotional scarring and nightmares from that fuckin’ picture. Kudos for actually buying that weird creepy thing. Hope the curse on it isn’t to extreme.

If you spent $300 on this, then clearly things are going to have to be stepped up an Patreon. Come on folks, Phelan’s eventually going to need warehouse rental to store all those Galaxy Warriors toys. Maybe add a big milestone for a Bootleg Zones stop-motion movie. ^_~

I would totally be a patron for a Bootleg Zone movie starring all the little toys. Whenever he acts out a scene with them in the videos (especially with the personalities he gives them), my entire month is made. 🙂

Uh…wow. Not even sure I can finish watching the review after seeing that picture and knowing this is a thing. This is pretty messed up to start with, and I had to look at pictures of Slender Man to calm myself down. That’s how bad this is.

When I heard you were reviewing this, I was ecstatic! This toy still baffles me. I just…I don’t even…but yes, sorry about the price. Of course people would take advantage of the fame to over sell it, but not even sold out Amiibos are priced that high! Geez! Don’t worry, I thought it was totally worth it!

To be frank though, Cardcaptor Sakura sounds like a knockoff name too (someone could not spell Capture?) so it belongs on a KO’s packaging.
No, Cardcaptor is the name of Sakura’s title, not a random misspelling. Unless it’s that butchered English dub (called Cardcaptors, of course) by Nevuna (or whatever they were called because I can’t spell their name), where Li Shaoran is a Cardcaptor as well.
Speaking of Cardcaptor Sakura, I’m been thinking on watching the anime for a little while now. Should I watch it? I might after I either finish re-watching Gurren Lagann or watch Kamen Rider OOO (my first Kamen Rider series) all the way through for the first time.
I’m now currently binge-watching through Cardcaptor Sakura as I type this and from what I’ve watched of it so far, it’s a wonderful series. I really highly recommend it!

The only CardCaptor Sakura-related thing I’ve ever read was the Tsubasa Chronicles manga and I only read like the first 3 or so volumes of it because it got too crazy for me. Anyways, my favorite magical girl anime has to be Heartcatch Precure which I just finished watching for the first time today. My current avatar on this website (as I type this) is Yuri Tsukikage/Cure Moonlight, my favorite character (other than Tsubomi Hanasaki/Cure Blossom) from that wonderful series!
Speaking of Precure/Pretty Cure, you should really check out the Chinese rip-off of it, Balala the Fairies. Some of the episodes are on YouTube if you want to witness the horror. And yes, it also spawned a toy line (if you want to review some of the toys from it):
